THE OPPORTUNITIES EXIST

WE CREATE THE PATH

We help Long Island high school students discover careers, connect with professionals who reflect the communities they come from, and gain the confidence and resources to pursue opportunities they may not have previously seen as possible.

OUR BELIEF

Exposure creates confidence

Every student deserves the chance to explore
BEFORE they're expected to decide.

WHY CAP EXISTS

Long Island, NY is one of the most segregated suburbs in America. Growing up here, I watched and experienced neighboring communities have completely different access to opportunities, not because of talent, but because of who they knew and where they lived.

Creating A Path exists to close that gap: connecting students with professionals who look like them, so their futures aren't decided by zip code.

Today, as a Barnard College student studying political science on a pre-law track, I continue leading CAP because I believe opportunity should never be determined by where you grow up.
