WHY CAP EXISTS
Long Island is one of the most segregated suburbs in America. Growing up here, I watched and experienced neighboring communities have completely different access to opportunities, not because of talent, but because of who they knew and where they lived.
Creating A Path exists to close that gap: connecting students with professionals who look like them, so their futures aren't decided by zip code.
Today, as a Barnard College student studying political science on a pre-law track, I continue leading CAP because I believe opportunity should never be determined by where you grow up.
